Oreo
Hi Kathy,
Sorry I have not been able to get around giving you a report on Corey (AKA
Oreo).
He is such a lively part to our family. He is our clown, herder, guard and
iMr. Lovable. It's taken some time to get him to totally trust us but with
lots of love he has acclimated well.Every evening he goes around doing a
house check to make sure we are all here and when he is satisfied he goes
under our bed. In the morning he goes to every room to once again take
inventory and greet us. Our Florida room has become his afternoon resting
place. I especially love coming home to him because he goes through his
little dance routine until we all greet him.
This Christmas after setting up the tree, he thought it was a great idea to
sleep under it. Well, what else is a tree for in the eye of a dog?! We
certainly are glad that he never messes the house and is well trained!
I would say that we are always working with him and see progress
constantly. Although Corey still has stranger anxiety, the more we have him
around loving and trusting people the less fear he has. I am so happy for
people like you that help these little creatures. My husband and I often
wonder what Corey must have gone through to be so scared of strangers.
The most difficult part of this journey has been finding reputable groomers
that really understand and love rescue dogs. After 4 tries including the
vet sedating him so that Corey could be groomed, we found one that right
from the introduction made Corey comfortable. The was such a blessing and a
relief for us!
Thanks to you and all those who are doing such a great job and taking care
of these forgotten animals,
Jellybelly
Jelly Belly now named Bella is doing great!!! She is getting so big!!! My boys are
so good with her....so glad we decided to adopt.

Dory
Hi Kathy,
Thank you so much for reaching out! At this very moment Matilta (the puppy previously known as Dory) is sleeping on my chest. She is fantastic and we are so in love! James, Mylo and I really feel like she's completed our home and could not be happier. We're hard at work on potty training, but she and Mylo mostly just play and nap :). She also got to witness James proposing and will definelty be a part of our big day. Please find some pictures attached, there are MANY more where these came from. Thank you again for all that you do!!! It's been a pleasure working with your organization.
Best,
Kim, James and Mylo
Bud
Bud, now know as Trigger, is doing great. He is growing so quick! He goes for his
rabies shot tomorrow. He fits in perfect! He loves his big sister Brownie and
follows her everywhere. She had so much fun with him the first day and then realized
he wasn't leaving...lol. They are good together and he follows her everywhere. I
catch them snuggling. He's going through a clumsy stage, as is my son, so the two
of them keep tripping over their growing feet. It's made me laugh on several
occasions. My only concern is that he still has tape worms. He took the pills the
vet gave him several weeks ago but they are still there. We will be addressing it
again tomorrow. We are so happy we found Trigger. Thank you and we will continue
to send updates. Oh, he is turning a bit brindle in color, but just on on his back.
Any word if his sister is too?
Thank you for helping us find our new family member.
