Francessca
Francessca

Francesca who we now call Priya Jumped straight into life at our home. She has stolen our hearts and has become the center of our world. She has nearly doubled in size since our first vet visit when she weighed just 9lbs. Now at 17.5lbs she is a healthy/happy pup!! Priya loves the beach and charges her paws a little farther into the ocean each time :) Crate training and house breaking has been going about smooth as it gets as accidents are becoming few and far 'between. Her trick list now includes sitting and laying down! We are getting ready to start her 6 week puppy classes at Petsmart to see what else we can learn! The beginning of our journey has been amazing and we are so grateful she has joined our family!! Sincerely, Ellie, John and Priya!

Sid
Sid

Hello, When I was a child I had a cockapoo named "Blacky" from 1970-1977. I loved him dearly. Blacky met a tragic end. For 36 years I never got another dog. My husband's company sponsored an Adopt-A-Thon at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale on August 25th, 2013. It was there I saw Sid for the first time at Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue. Something told me Sid would be the perfect dog for me. On the car ride home my husband and I agreed to rename Sid "Barkley" after my late dog "Blacky." Barkley is a very happy dog. He enjoys his daily walks and loves to play fetch with his favorite blue stuffed monkey. He likes to nap in the sunny parts of the house or on our laps. He likes his tummy to be rubbed and sleeps in our bed at night. He makes us laugh. We love him very, very much. On the back of my car I have a bumper sticker. It proclaims, "Who rescued who?" That is the truth in my case. Thank you for all you do. Barkley is well-adjusted and very secure and happy.

Mandy

Hi There, Mandy (now known as Bailey) Is doing wonderfully! She is on week 5 of puppy class and has learned a lot. Everyone who meets her has complemented us on her great temperament. I have posted pictures to the Facebook page but wanted to email you a couple :) Jamie, John, & the Girls

Wolfie

Hi, I would have responded sooner with an update but I got your follow up email the day we were at the vet. It took three vet visits but Wolfie, now Valiant, is doing fantastic. His favorite things are probably a tie between playing fetch in the yard and playing with my friend's very sweet lab/husky. He is still a shy guy but when he is at home he knows he is safe and after a few minutes warms up to company. He gets along very well with my two cats. They are only about 2 years old but were born blind so they are fans of the slow approach as well. He plays very gently with Nimbus, while Crowley prefers to stay out of the action. Valiant is a little slow on the uptake with things like tricks but is very well behaved with the basics. Since so much of the time when he first came to live here was spent just getting him to feel comfortable I consider him no longer hiding in his crate all the time a huge accomplishment. I remember it took about two weeks before I ever saw him even wag his tail, it is always going these days. I adore my little man and am so happy to have been able to make a home for him where he feels safe and happy. When he first came home:

Miki

Hi Kathy Here is a picture of Brody at 14 weeks having a blast tearing up the coconuts. He has been a great puppy and is weighing in at 25 lbs now compared to 11 pounds when we adopted him. The vet seems to think he is a lab mixed with Jack Russell terrier and I believe she is right. He is very smart and full of energy. We are pleased that he has some retriever in him and loves to fetch and return the ball. We had hoped he would like swimming in the pool or beach but he doesn't like the water at all. We have another vet check up the end of April and can give you another update at that time. I'll send some more pictures as well. Thanks again for helping us find Brody. Sincerely, Susan & Alex Popov
