Bunnie Boxer
Bunnie Boxer

Hi, Bunnie boxer is doing great. She lives car rides. She watches as the kids go in to school and waits anxiously for them to get out of school. She gets a lot of exercise running around with the children and enjoys long walks at night. She does extremely well with baths and nail clipping. Her new name is Coco. Every where I go, she is right by my side. When I stop to cook or fold laundry she is sure to sit down on my feet. She watches t.v. and is intrigued by the lights and sounds. She is very smart and eager to please. She is a joy to have as a part of our family. Kim

Bow Wow Boxer

Hi Kathy, Thank you very much. Bow Wow Boxer, Currently Cooper, is doing great and getting bigger everyday. We just got started in puppy beginner pet training at Petsmart. He loves boating and going to the doggie park (Doggie park pic attached). In addition, he is a huge hit at my building. I am very thankful to have this wonderful companion in my life. Regards,

Foxi

Thank you, Kathy, for your follow-up letter. We have given Foxi a new name, “Bagel”. The first few weeks were difficult. Although she had no problem with eating and using the litter box, she would not come near us or let us approach or touch her. She cried for the first few days and looked for places to hide. I think she missed her cat family and seemed to be looking for them. So we gave her the space she needed and didn’t try to force ourselves on her, trying to slowly win her trust. The first breakthrough, after about 10 days, came when she responded to the soft little balls and crumpled papers and started to chase them when I threw them. That was our first interaction. Then, about a week later, she didn’t automatically scamper away when I slowly approached her, and let me pet the top of her head with 2 fingers. Now we have progressed to her enjoying a good head scratch and petting. She will jump on the bed and play or sleep when I am on it, and will even sit herself on me for a short while for petting. And I can approach and pick her up to hold for short periods of time if I move lightly and slowly. I don’t know that she will ever be the super affection-craving type of cat, but I think I can now say that she feels secure and happy to be here. She especially likes to watch the ducks, birds, geckos, cats and dogs that pass by from our screened porch. She is a beautiful animal and just a really cute kitten. I’ve taken her for her second shots and will take her for rabies shot next month. Thanks again for giving us this lively bundle. Phyllis Weaving
